BASIC COLOR SCHEMES #5

Analogous: Using colors that are next to each other on the color wheel.

Color wheel for reference

The color combinations I used for Looklet Model Sofia is BLUE, BLUE-GREEN, and GREEN.

On Sofia:
Shirt - Avantgardenim
Necklace - Viveka Bergstrom
Skirt - Tiger of Sweden
Ring - Marc by Marc Jacobs
Flats - H&M

At first look, I'd consider this the young PA, or Stylist On The Go look. :) You know the fashion sense is there, just very functional, simple, and naturally more fashion-minded than the ordinary.  The colors easily blend in with each other, creating an unexpected look. Kind of like when you thought something would turn out too simple, but when you really look at them all together, it actually looks pretty cool.

I would normally go without the necklace or ring, but without them, this look would turn out too lazy instead of because it's simply functional. Remember, fashion may be effortless in the long run, but you will always know if the person got too lazy.

  1. They're indeed a cool combination...or is it because they happen to be my top 2 fave colors? :-) I think the big ring is also cool.

  2. I don't think the colors match up with each other. They're both dark and shady. I think it is best to compliment a dark color with a light one to exude a vibrant persona. Just my 2 cents.
