Inspiration from "CRAP"

Today, some generally definitively crappy activities would be television, certain networking sites, movie stars, certain music, among others.

But for me, I like watching TV. But I do choose what to watch. I like movies, some reality shows, series, sit coms, but only if they inspire me. I do feel like I've fallen in love with certain celebrities as well, (who doesn't?) and that too, inspires me. I guess I pretty much have the talent for seeing the beauty out of a lot of things that I see, hear, and read. It's not always a waste of time, you know. It's just a matter of getting inspiration and life lessons out of all of them. Sometimes, I actually consider my "aha!" moments to be messages from God. Nope, it's not blasphemous, because I do get answers especially during my "times of sorrow".  I have had amazing realization moments, answers to mind wrecking questions, and again, inspiration to find out what I was meant to do in this life. When I see new things that I find interesting, I slowly realize what my desires really are.

So if people say that some of your hobbies are crap, they're not always right. It's what your hobbies turn you into. If you have hobbies that make you a crappy person, then hell, ditch it! But hobbies that inspire you, make you a better person, more knowledgeable, creative...go for it! You have to remember, known people of today were once thought of as weird and maybe even crappy. But that's what made them successful. The fact that they're not like everyone else. That they've come up with things that not very many people have. And the best part of it is, they have reached their happiest levels of their lives by actually knowing what their hearts desire.

Know how to distinguish crappy from inspiring. Or even to turn crappy into inspiring. Not everyone will like you or even appreciate what you do. Please yourself first by pleasing God. God is the one that put all those desires into your heart, so it honors Him when you appreciate and use the desires/talents that He put in there. God's creation was and will never be crappy.

It's not about me

The phrase "give up" kind of sound negative at first.  It has to depend on what you're giving up on.

I've worked quite hard just to get where I am today. Actually, that "where" is still nowhere. But I'm getting there. I don't just want to be a fire-starter anymore. I actually want to accomplish something this time. It's everyday that you're 20-something. Thing is, at this age, I should already know what I want to do, be doing something about it, and be earning money!

I want to make my parents happy this time. I've got everything I need, anyway.

I can't give up now. Again, it's not all about me.

Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.  Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

KS-iiiiiiiiing :*

I am in love with Kristen Stewart :) haha

She easily gets me with her deep stares and her secret smile. Oh gawd!

Anyway, I'm still on the verge of coming up with a new talent. Cooking maybe? Well I like to cook. Today, I meant yesterday, I came up with Pork Barbecue and Ginisang Petchay with Tofu. And they were gooooood! Uh-huh!

Yeah, I think I should consider cooking. I don't love it, but I like cooking.

Okay so that's 1 down! :) Wish me luck!

I still need a back up plan though...

What do I REALLY want?

I need to figure out what else I want to do for myself...other than dancing.

I must have a list of all the other options.

I don't mean to be ungrateful, but I would really appreciate doing something that I would fall in love with for a living.

I just have to figure out what it is.

Experimenting -- mumbling to myself

Today I learned to experiment.  This is my 2nd week of live streaming The Feast PICC on www.justin.tv

According to Bo Sanchez, if you don't know what your talents are yet, then go and experiment! Once you discover what your talent is, develop it, then monetize it. Sounds good, huh? It got me all giddy and excited, I've been trying to figure out what t experiment on all day. !@#$%

:))

I went out to Punggol Park on my own this afternoon, just before the sun was to set. It was beautiful! About time I went out and got my body moving again.  This time, I enjoyed the view. There was this lake right at the center of it, and I couldn't help but mesmerise.

And this is something new that I did today. Experimenting on whether going out for long walks and/or discoveries would be a new habit of mine.  Hmmm... Kind of doesn't count, eh?  Who cares, I like what I did.  And it was good for me.  Fresh, clean air, lots of people around, beautiful water, plenty of trees, etc.

Okay, so what to experiment on.  I got piano, violin, and painting on the list.  But I can't really start on those just yet as I would need extra funds to support those new activities.  Dancing will always be there...ooohh danciiiiiiiiiiing <3  *eyes twinkling*  Oh I have got to get in shape soon! Hence, my walk around Punggol Park does count! Aha!

Writing, of course, will always be somewhere at the top of my list. :)  I don't remember coming up with specific topics just yet, but I enjoy mumbles to myself. It's my way of analysing what's actually been running in my head.

Okay, I'm out.

Muffin Comfort

Today is technically my 13th day here in Singapore, and still no luck. With that and all the other personal "sad" things going on with me, I must admit that I am currently feeling a little low. :(  I have never prayed for anything so hard in my life until I got here. hahaha for some people, you know what I'm talking about.

And so before my friend Ayin went to bed, she somehow managed to offer me her last Bread Talk chocolate muffin, which I attempted to set aside on the counter next to my bed to save for breakfast. But since I was not too sleepy yet and I was feeling a little sad...maybe God gave me that muffin for this reason, huh? He wanted to give me a little chocolate comfort....Thank You Lord. :)

*Not the actual muffin, but this was the Bread Talk muffin I was talking about

Now who wouldn't want to give in to a little comfort with this lovely smelling and mouth watering looking baby? I won't be guilty this time...or maybe I will be, when I wake up.

Tomorrow/later when I wake up, it shall be a new day of hope, prayer, and persistence. Oh Lord, I really can not do this without You.  Please give me strength!

Thanks again for the muffin <3

Missing Father E

Father Eric  has become one of my favorite Catholic priests ever. That's because he's so funny, you'd really find yourself ROFL. He conducts mass at The Feast  (founded by Bo Sanchez) every Sunday at the PICC.

Unfortunately, I admit that I was kind of disappointed to see a different priest last Sunday.  It was Father E's turn and I was so eager to hear him conduct mass that 3rd Sunday of the month.  Turns out, we wouldn't be hearing much of him until next year! :( Here's what he announced in his Facebook wall last Tue, Aug 23rd:

"FATHER E signing off . . . i will be taking my sabbatical course in san francisco, california from sept to dec. kaya wala muna ko sa TAMBAYAN. will be back on air on the first sabadabadooh of january! LET'S KEEP IN TOUCH THROUGH THIS PAGE. Salamat kay Chacha, sa mga nagmamahal kay Chacha na minahal na din ako at sa mga Tambayers for making me a part of TAMBAYAN FAMILY!!!! Mami miss ko ang Sabado nights . . . at kayo!
Pero sabi ko nga, nandito lang ako. Will keep on posting. God bless!"

Oh well, we should be happy for him. It's not always good to be this crazy over one Catholic priest, anyway.. hehe I don't think God wanted any of us to be so much of a fanatic. After all, he is a man of God, out to spread the Lord's word...not a celebrity. ;-)

Take care Father E.!
